Our Story
We are a group of patients who have been taking Nefazodone for years to treat depression and anxiety. In August of 2020 the sole manufacturer of Nefazodone, Teva, put the medication in shortage due to a shortage of a raw ingredient. The medication remained in shortage until December 20, 2021. During the shortage we suffered greatly. We found solidarity by coming together through a Facebook Support Group. We strongly advocated to Teva and the FDA to bring this medication back. It is a one of a kind medication and many of us have been on it for over 20 years and has been the only medication that has helped treat our mental illness.

We created this site to reach out to others who may not know Nefazodone again is available. Our support group is going strong and we welcome you to join for support and information. During the shortage we all had to discontinue the medication or greatly reduce our dosage. We have our personal experience of going through withdrawal. Maybe you are struggling to go off of this medication and want to hear what other patients went through or maybe you are thinking of trying this medication and want patients experience of how it helped them.

We also want to ensure that Nefazodone stays on the market indefinitely. Our voices were heard and the medication was brought out of shortage. We want to make sure this never happens again and the more supporters is always better. Even if you don't join our support group we hope you find the information we have gathered over the last year helpful.

We are also following a new upcoming medication called ansofaxine made by Luye Pharmaceuticals. It is also an SNDRI antidepressant like Nefazodone. It will be a full SNDRI whereas nefazodone is considered a weak SNDRI. Ansofaxine has completed phase 2 and 3 trials and has had its application for its new drug application accepted by the FDA. Our Facebook group will also be following this too. It is not on the current FDA schedule for 2022 so it will not likely be available until 2023.
We are not affiliated with Teva Pharmaceuticals, the FDA, or any other company or organization. We make absolutely no money off this site, our support group, or any advertising.
